Hand Forged Artistic Wrought Iron Pergola

We were contacted by a landscape design company to create a large decorative wrought iron canopy to adorn a custom-made wood pergola. Located at a prominent catering facility, this custom 16' X 33' canopy was one of the largest single pieces of metalwork fabricated by our company in terms of weight and size.  Each hand forged scroll began with a 7' long piece of steel and required two smiths to forge it to shape. Given its large scale, it had to be built in 5 large modular sections which required a crane to place it on the pergola.  Incorporated into this design are several classical elements including a Greek key motif and stylized foliage. The results are both striking and elegant.
